Product Information

Why choose this multi-purpose compost?

This high-quality, peat-free blend supports strong root growth, holds water well, and releases nutrients gradually. It’s a true all-rounder for sowing, potting, containers, baskets, beds, borders and veg patches.

Key benefits

  • Peat-free & sustainable – a lower-carbon choice for gardeners
  • Slow-release nutrition – healthy growth through the season
  • Great structure – moisture-retentive yet free-draining
  • Versatile – beds, borders, pots and raised beds
  • Note: not suitable for ericaceous (acid-loving) plants

How to use

  • Seeds: Fill trays, firm lightly, sow, and cover with a fine layer.
  • Pots & baskets: Pot up and water well; feed after 6–8 weeks for hungry plants.
  • Cuttings: Mix with perlite or grit for extra drainage.
  • Soil improvement: Work 5–7 cm into the top layer of beds and borders.

Coverage guide
Coverage (m²) = 1,460 ÷ 50 × depth(cm) ÷ 10
At 5 cm depth, that’s ≈ 29.2 m² (rule of thumb: ~20 m² per 1000 L).

What’s in the bag

  • Volume: 1460 L delivered in 2 bulk bags (on a pallet)

FAQs
Can I sow seeds in it? For very fine seeds, sieve a little compost or mix with a seed blend.
Do I need extra feed? For hungry crops and heavy bloomers, begin feeding after 6–8 weeks.
How should I store it? Keep bags covered and out of heavy rain/direct sun.
